I have a structure which has a roof load of -0.5kN/m2 at y direction. Which of the following well represents the load on the model:

a) to have a inclined load of -0.5kN/2 throughout the whole area. (if yes will the members at the edge be critical?)

-the inclined floor load doesnt break into smaller parts like the normal floor load do, will it affect the result?.

b) to define a plate of 0.0001m thickness, 1/100th of concrete's poisson's ratio and has 0 density, so that it doesnt affect the structure much, only its loading will be considered in the model. (if yes will staad pro take it as a restrain on top of the rafters and reducing the actual value of deflection on the beam?)

c) to break the loads down to kN/m

Discussion Starter I

Start a discussion in a forum that receives 5 replies.
