Dashed dimension

It seems when dimensions get de-associated with an element the dimension turns into a dashed line, which is nice, however is there a way to turn this feature off temporarily? THX.

dim style

For some reason the dim style property is grayed out when view the element information (in information dialogue) of a dimension. Typically the dim style is available to be changed (by pull down in information dialogue). Any ideas?

Just re-installed MSv8i ss2 and lost ability to double click text to enter the text editor.

An error reads:

Unable to load/create dialog item of type 'HTML', id = 41510001 from dialog "Text Editor - Word Processor"

Any ideas?

Axis Lock/ Ortho

I use ortho axis lock regularly, and am trying to figure out it's behavior when accusnap is on.

The desired behavior is ortho from the start point (say start point of line or start point of copy).

The actual behavior is (when accusnap is on) ortho from random hovered points that accusnap recognizes.

Any way to achieve desired behavoir with accusnap on?

read-only

Any settings to allow linework in read-only dgns? Read-only is the desired way to enter drawings when no changes are anticipated for quality control. While in the drawings it is not uncommon to have to use some linework to perform certain queries.

Typical Windows behavior allows data entry (ie linework) while in read-only, but will not save the data to file. Open a Word Doc read-only for example. This is the behavior I am looking for.

Any ideas?

line weights

My line weights are not showing up in model as expected. All line wieghts are showing up as same thin width. Any toggles I'm missing? THX.

Dimension Element

I have a dgn, created in v7 perhaps, that opens and functions in V8i, except dimension elements. I draw a dimension and it's dropped (not an element). Yes, association lock is on. I have tried save as > *.v8i. Any other ideas?
