Download & Installation Instruction

1.  Click the [Download] button. A dialog asks if you would like to Save or Open the file. Click Save.
2. Select a location on your computer or network to save the .ZIP file.
3. Click Save.
4. Once the file has downloaded, use Windows Explorer to navigate where the file is located.
5. Extract the package contents using Windows Explorer or third-party compression software. If you are using STAAD.Pro V8i SELECTseries 1 (20.07.06), you may simply overwrite the the current help file with this copy. For previous version, the recommended location is C:\Program Files\Bentley\Documentation\.

Notes:

• In some Windows installations, help files located in "user" folders such as "My Documents" cannot be opened if the user does not have the appropriate privileges. Contact your organization's IT staff to request privilege or to locate a folder from where the file can be opened.
•  You may have to unblock content in a help file downloaded from the internet.

Use the following procedure if the contents panel of the Help window won't display help topics.

1.  Locate the downloaded and extracted help file on your computer or network.
2. Right click and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
3. Click the [Unblock] button to allow content to display (button is not displayed if content is already unblocked).
4. Click the OK button.
5. Open the .CHM file to display the help contents
