I have just returned from my very first User Group Event in Overland Park Kansas. On August 26th and 27th, the Mid-Continent MicroStation Community held their 10th Annual User Conference at the Overland Park Convention Center. Kudos to the officers and their committee for such a well organized, executed, fun event! The Overland Park Convention Center is a beautiful facility!
The conference opened on day one with a keynote from Barbara Day, BrIM Director of Americas. Barbara's presentation provided an overview of the Bentley BrIM initiative as it applies to the Bridge Design lifecycle, including an insight into the integrated BrIM product offerings today as well as a brief presentation on Athens which is to be released Q4 of 2008! The conference continued with another day full of best practices, technology sessions, and workshops by Bentley Institute.
Thanks to Frank Conforti from the BE Careers Network for presenting the Be Communities site and the offerings of the BE Careers Network. Together we managed the Bentley booth interacting with our users.
