MCMC User Conference another success!

Congratulations to the Mid-Continent MicroStation Community for organizing another great user conference!  The August 25-26th agenda offered a variety of sessions and workshops that was sure to satisfy the interest of every user in attendance.  The tracks included:

  • MicroStation
  • Civil
  • Building
  • Collaboration/Publishing/Plotting (Day 1) Management (Day 2)
  • Structural Analysis
  • Potpourri
  • And two workshop tracks

I really enjoyed the User Group Officer meeting held Monday night before the start of the event. It was great to see everyone!  We were able to review the program, but more importantly the officers were able to share how they run their events giving other groups a lot of great tips and ideas.

Tuesday evening's event was a blast! Users gathered at PowerPlay to enjoy a friendly competitive evening of games. Users and Bentley colleagues were randomly placed on teams to compete in laser tag, bowling, go carts, and Whirlyball (a combination of bumper cars and lacrosse). Everyone had a great time, even if they did have some battle wounds to show from the festivities, thanks Nathan :)

The event and widespread agenda was very well received both from Bentley Colleagues and users, but even more of a hit was the Jack Stack BBQ lunch Wednesday afternoon!

I really enjoyed meeting all the users and Bentley Colleagues from other offices. I look forward to next year!
