We're always looking for new test data from the field and for inspiration to build our own test data for our water resources applications. I ran across this quite a while ago and thought it'd be an excellent thing to use as inspiration.

Micropolis is a virtual city built by Dr. Kelly Brumbelow (a fellow GATech alum). It is made up of building, land use , and roadway data (shapefiles) and pipe network data (EPANet).
The paper presenting this concept also mentions Mesopolis which is still in development. I look forward to seeing that at some point, too.
