Many users have come across the issue below where values for items in the vertical or horizontal schematic diagrams for long sections are removed, this is normally seen where short elements are in the design.
The reason for this is due to an MX parameter called CLUTTEXT, this parameter is enabled by default in the MX parameter files. This parameter controls cluttered text and by default it removes the values from the vertical or horizontal schematic diagrams where they would extend outside the extents of the element schematic.
When a new project is initially created it is set up using the information in the parameter file that is selected in the Startup panel, on my install the default parameter file is UK_metric as shown on the Startup panel below. Changes to the parameter file will only affect new projects and have no affect on projects already created.
The parameter files are stored in the MX program install folder MX\MFW\Parameters. These files have the file extension .prm. To change the default parameters settings so that they can be used for future projects you can edit the parameter file in any text editor.
Open the parameter file you want to change and browse to the CLUTTEXT parameter as shown below. Here you will need to change from the default value of 1 to a value of 0. It is important that you do not add extras spaces or lines to the file as this may corrupt the parameter file.
When you create a new project using the modified parameter file and create a long section all the values for items in the vertical or horizontal schematic diagrams will now be created as shown below.
