Okay... so my title isn't all that creative and I suspect (whilst I am not going to bother to verify the statistic) somewhere around 30-40% of bloggers use it for their first post - and if not then I am on to something.
Anyway, Hello! I am Steven DeVoll, Licensing Program Manager for Bentley Systems, IOW, I'm the licensing guy. As such, my blog will be focused around all things licensing. My intent is to keep to a weekly posting, however I am hopeful the interaction with users and colleagues will foster a daily conversation.
We are not restricted to just licensing here. At times software licensing may be as engaging as watching paint dry, so I may divulge into other topics So a little about me and my interests.
Coming up on 34 years ago, I was born into a family that lives, breaths, eats and sleeps Philadelphia Flyers Hockey. In order to sustain life and survive childhood, becoming a proud Flyers "phan" was a requirement -and I am! So just a fair warning to any Atlantic division team fans out there - really I have nothing against you personally, you have simply picked the wrong team to follow. My virtual door is always open to help you convert over to the Flyers ;-)
I am an expert Golf Hacker and make it a point to play a round wherever my travels take me. I have played many courses in southwest Florida, the Caribbean and the northeast corridor. I find it exciting to play new courses and like to hear about others around the world.
Finally, my wife Carlotta and I are building a home. A very unique opportunity in of itself, I plan to keep a rolling progress update here. This morning the surveys were out marking the property lines and I presume the footprint. Groundbreaking is scheduled for Wednesday 19 November.
So here is to endless conversations on Licensing, my Flyers, golf and a structurally sound house! Welcome!!
