This blog post was written before Bentley announced the deal with Luxology, at a time where Maxwell Render seemed to be the only photorealistic renderer available for Microstation users:
I love to use Maxwell Render, and it's alway just a few clicks away from Microstation now that Bently have integrated the exporter. (see also this)
Here are a few new test renderings I've made using Microstation and Maxwell Render:
one year since my previous comment was made, and I have to admit that I'm no longer using Maxwell. I'm using V8i with Luxology - a perfect match!
I still think Maxwell Render is the best render engine out there for high end photorealistic stuff, but the new Luxology Renderer that will be 100% integrated in Microstation will be a very interesting competitor: extremely fast and easy to use, both for average and advanced Microstation users.
Hi Daniel,
It is now an integral part of Microstation.
Hi All
Is the exporter built into MS XM or is it downloaded from Bentley?
Posting them, hmmm... I think if you go to your Blog Dashboard under Common Tasks, you can upload files to this blog.
As far as which ones, I would say the Light Bulb, and the Tea Cup with Doiley.
Thanks, Kurt.
