To make the best use of the RAM available on your machine set the Geometry Cache Size to about 80% of the available physical RAM.
In this example on a machine with 16Gb RAM the appropriate value is about 13500Mb.
The current default is 3072Mb.
The higher value will make more RAM available when rendering complex geometry, including render-time geometry generated by fur and displacement mapped materials.
I have used ExamDiff or WinMerge for comparing files for a few years, however today I noticed Compare listed in the Notepad++ Plugins manager.
I haven't attempted any kind of comparison between the other two applications and this plugin, but it has the immediate benefit of allowing files open in separate views to be compared just by pressing Alt + D.
