• Site Standards - Spelling

    Spelling is a short section.

    MicroStation's core dictionaries are located by MS_SPELLINGDICTIONARYPATH, in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\WorkSpace\system\data\, this should not be changed.

    MS_SPELLINGUSERDICTIONARY can be used to specify a location and name for the user's individual spelling dictionary, e.g.:

    MS_SPELLINGUSERDICTIONARY = $(_USTN_USER)$(USERNAME)_msspell.dic

  • IFC 4 – What’s Going On?

    Formerly known as IFC2x4, buildingSMART published the long awaited IFC 4 specification in April 2013.   • 101 - DGNLIB (Design File Libraries)

    A DGNLIB is a DGN file used for the storage and distribution of shared resources. Its internal structure is identical, only the file extension is different. Files with the .dgnlib extension are treated differently within Bentley applications. For instance, since MicroStation XM Compress Design does not affect DGNLIBs.
