got the inquiry few times by email so I thought it was worthwhile to mention we have a great course available to learn the latest Point Cloud processing capabilities as well as Descartes' Scalable Terrain Model.
This training, named Bentley Descartes for 3D Modeling, was created by Inga Morozoff and is accessible on Bentley LEARN server.

As of today there are 7 Bentley Pointools V8i tutorial movies on the LEARN server http://learn.bentley.com
The movies cover the basics and some of the new tools, including; object animation, clash detection, and differencing.

Bentley Pointools V8i will soon be with us, but currently we still sell Pointools Edit. As such some of the material you will come across was made using Edit. This does not mean that it is out of date, just that the interface is different. Anything based on Edit will be phased out in time, but this may take some months…
