Hide attached rastefiles in STM

Hi Descartes crew

this issue is more request than TR.

When you attached your raster files to be draped imto STM model the only thing for the moment what I miss is an "hide" raster function. You can remove, move up/down in view sequenses but I need also an "hide" or show on/off like in raster manager display on/off.

Why:

It is a problem when you load old stmmodels and want to show newer raster drapes instead of the old ones but you need the old draped rasters to be attached still becouse the "original" raster file have for some reasons been deleted.

Benefits:

1.Your Stm model stays as an "historic" file inkluded the not needed raster drapes you have done earlier in the project that still are aviable as an "draped" raster

2. You save time to instead of detach and re attach raster files only to manage version/product layouts in STM mode.

Hopefully you understand the workflows in description!

  • Hi Tom,

Not sure I understand your workflow since if "the "original" raster file have for some reasons been deleted" then the old raster files are also deleted, since the STM technology pumps data directly from the raster files, aside from the low resolution data which is pumps from the .ctiff file accompanying the .stm file.

Anyway, have you considered renaming the .pss and .ctiff file for the old dataset (e.g. : stm.pss.old and stm.ctiff.old) and switching back to those renamed .pss and .ctiff file to obtain the historic of the raster draping of a particular .stm file? Could be a good workaround.

    Thanks,

    Mathieu
