Hi All,
This issue made me crazy, you can see the point cloud displayed in the pictures below.
In Pic 1 there is the entire view of the point cloud data set which displayed in Microstation, I want to go inside of the buildings to see more details as in Pic 2 which displayed in Pointools, but when I tried to zoom in to find the details, the result in Microstation is displayed as the scene in Pic 3.
Wish someone here can help me out. I tried the perspective mode in MS, but not well.

Hi Koalar,
Ok if I understand well you would like to display point cloud in MicroStation similar to how it is displayed in PointTools. I have created a short video on how to modify the display in MicroStation so that it looks similar to PointTools. Personally I think both MicroStation and PointTools display (which is shown at the end of the video) looks pretty much the same.
Let's me know if there are still too much discrepancies.
HTH,
Mathieu

Yes, now it is ... finally ... clear ;-)
The source of the discussed problem is they are not the same tools in Pointools and MicroStation and don't work the same way. It's not the bug, but WAD (work as designed) as they are designed for different purposes. What you use as "zoom" in Pointools is not the zoom in fact, but more "walk through" tool, because camera position is changed. If you use zoom (both in real life and CAD programs), the camera position is not changed, but only camera viewing angle. So higher zoom doesn't allow to walk in behind the wall, you have to change your (camera) position.
I am not sure if MicroStation offers exactly the same tool, but there are several similar tools available:
What will probably always be different how point clouds are displayed during a view dynamics, because MicroStation simplify objects when a view is changed to speed up the process. But maybe somebody else know a workaround.

Jan
