Dear Forum,im working with 2 computers and both have differing versions of Microstation [Dont ask!!].In a particular file, the one with Select Series 1 finds 'Text Nodes' and shows them. The same file with Select Series 3 Microstation shows they are there in the Level Usage Dialog but refuses to find them or display them.Any ideas why this might be? Ive tried everything i know to locate them on the SS3 machine?!?!?!

hi all
attached is my mapping file. as you see ive clipped out all the data i dont want public. that was in the square. ive left 2 ends of data as you can see the data, which was Lidar Mapping, joins the 2 ends.Chopped Lidar Mapping.dgn
the important thing here is when you 'Fit All' on my v08.11.07.171 SS1 Microstation i find the random Text Nodes at the top left of the file. my team members v08.11.09.459 SS3 doesnt find them.
I have turned off and on Text Nodes in Attributes, but they dont actually need to be on for Fit All to fit them. Obviously to see them it does but Fit All finds them in the earlier version Off or On. the later version doesnt find them Off or On.4
have i missed a setting somewhere?

Hi,
I checked this issue in MS SS3. There are 137 Point cloud POD files are attached to the dgn file.
In the attached dgn file, POD files are missing so they are appear as red. So ideally it should not display in the view. But in this case I can see some elements in the view and if we do zoom in or out then elements get disappear on my machine. Will try to figure it out.
BTW, From Point Cloud manage dialog box you can do followings stuff with Point Cloud:
1) Attach POD file
2) Convert other point cloud format to POD,
3) Export attached POD to XYZ and POD.
4) Apply Presentation style to Point cloud data
5) Display On and Off point cloud in particular view.
6) and many more..
Just added one video about Point Cloud Basics.
Thanks
