ABOUT THE SIZE OF OBJ MODELS USED FOR EDITING IN 3DSMAX

Hi Bentley, 

We're running a simulation project so that all models have to export to OBJ file for editing in 3DSMax. However the exported files made by a large number of polygons (Img.: roughly 200,000 faces for a street corner) , then it's maybe impossible if we have to build larger areas.

By any way If your Software can adjust the acurate amount of faces (polygons) of exported 3D models ? Or if it doesn't, do you have any suggestion about third softwares that have retopologize tools for 3D models ?

    In our Navy simulator project, we have to simulate the large riverside area last over 2 districts. Because of the large amout of images so I had to create 2 models of each district ( 2 seperate files that have different default SRS coordinates origin) . Because Merging process requested 2 parts must have the same SRS." , so I adjust "SRSOrigin" of both descriptions to the same number (in notepad++), and at .3mx file, these two overlap each other. (image no.3)

    So Is it possible to merge 2 files with different SRSorigin ? Or Are there any things else that I have to config in production submiting time ?

    I am browsing history of your question.Now I have the same problem in merging several 3MX models.My models were done in different reconstruction tasks.,in other words,they were done under different aerotriangulations.So they have different SRSorigins.Can the several models be merged?
