I have converted numerous .LAS files into .POD files. I saw, during the conversion process, the option to assign a coordinate system for the output .POD file, which I did not do. Now that I have the .POD files, is there any way to bulk/batch assign the projection info to the .POD files, or will I have to go and re-convert the .LAS files again, this time assigning the projection info as well? Can Pointools be used to assign the coordinate information?
Thanks,
Bruce
To assign a GeoCS to POD files you need to attach them in MicroStation, then: 1) Right-click on one pod file in the "Point Clouds" dialog and go to "GeoCS > Select Form Library..." (also available in "Utilities" menu). 2) The "Select Geographic Coordinate System" dialog opens. From there, select the GeoCS to assign to the POD file.
This has to be done for each pod file individually. HTH, Pascal
