I'm not sure of the best way to go about this but I want to create a printed sheet with several different clipped views of the same point cloud. I have created the required clips but I can't make the clips 'stick' to any specific view (View 1

RE: Assigning different clips to different views in Descartes

Dan,
Thanks for the response. Using clip views didn't work for me but I've come up with a similar solution. Well, it's more of a workaround but it works!
As you said, I can't assign a specific clip to a specific view so what I've done is create a Design Model for each view I require, attach the .pod file and make a Saved View of each. In the Sheet Model, I then drag and drop each of the Saved Views into the sheet from the Saved View dialog box (there is no distinction as to where the different SVs are stored like you get in the raster or reference dialog boxes) and position them as necessary. The scaling options are not as they would have been with reference files and take some getting used to!

Maybe you could use clip views? Or you could also try to attach multiple times the same pointcloud and clip each of your pod in a different way and then turn them on\off using the view numbers below the dialog?

The problem is that the clips that pointcloud manager create are assigned to the element so it's no possible to turn them on or off in a specific view.
