It appears to be a spherical distance from the point of view of the camera/viewport. I want to create an animation with a very close flyby of small grouping

RE: Pointools V8i - Cloud disappears when the camera gets close

Hi Scott,
You may be able to resolve this by adjusting the Camera Near Plane setting in the animation tool bar:

If you're company have a Bentley SELECT agreement you will be able to download and install the latest version of Bentley Pointools CONNECT Edition at no extra cost.

The site is made from 4 POD files, right now only one is loaded (about 10gigs, 1.2 billion points). I may try to unify my clouds in cyclone and export as 1 e57, instead of 4 separate files.

RE: Pointools V8i - Cloud disappears when the camera gets close

What version of Pointools are you running?
