3mx file in projectwise

Question

Hi All, 
 Does anyone know how to upload a 3mx/ContextCapture file into ProjectWise for it to then be opened in Microstation Connect. 
 
 We've been limited to using obj files for years. Bentley finally comes up with a solution and i have no idea how to make a single file to upload then open directly in PW. 
 
 Any help is much appreciated.

Unfortunately there is no way to directly open a 3mx file from projectwise. 
 You can always export the 3mx to the local box you are working on but I think the best way to achieve what you are looking for would be to attach the 3mx via url. You can create new dgn and use the keyin mrmesh attach/geoattach (geoattach sets the coordinate system of the dgn from the 3mx). You can then reference that dgn and use it like it like you would the 3mx file directly.

 If you want to stream reality mesh you need to use our ProjectWise ContextShare cloud technology (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJZd_03A_oY ). 
 Note that you will first need to convert your 3MX to 3SM (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pbf5Vmtio4 ).
