Just clicked "forum" from the Descartes community page and this brought me here. Hope this is the right Forum then ?? Question is : we use MicroStation V8i SS3 (.357 and .459) with Descartes SS3. We need the functionality of Descartes SS5 but there is no version above SS3 for our latest MicroStation available (.459). The latest Decartes SS5 for MicroStation from the select downloads does not work with the latest MicroStation SS3 :-(( it can be installed for AECOSIM. We do not have this. So PLEASE, can we have a Descartes V8i SS5 for MicroStation for the latest MicroStation V8i available ? (that is still V8i SS3 update 2 = 08.11.9.459). Thank you very much in advance !

I cannot speak for Bentley, but in my opinion your statement is correct. In my opinion it means this version should be installed only if a product like Descartes will be installed on top of it, but it's probably just because these versions did not pass the same amount of tests as standard releases, so they are not treated as official releases.
I know some users use such version(s) as a standalone products, but in such case if anything discussed with support or here in communities, probably a question "Why do you use this version?" will appear.
BTW MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) was released yesterday, so the question is if Descartes will be supported also on this new version and if yes, you can standardize on SS4.
