Descartes Connect?

Hi,

we plan to release a first version of Descartes CONNECT on Q3. There will be some new capabilities related to Reality Modeling to process Reality Meshes created by ContextCapture. However, we won't have ported all the tools for that first version.

Could I know what are the key capabilities of Descartes that you are looking for on CONNECT ?

Trial is 7-days if not activated. Activating with OPENACCESS site key you will have 30-day trial at first run but if run after 30 days on this or other computer then it will trigger QTL invoice based on usage.

I may be wrong but there will be no longer Descartes for Microstation only stand-alone.

Hm, okay. Sound like i need to contact Bentley and find out what to do with our license then. maybe a bit of topic but can you tell me if the standalone Descartes is indeltical ( in terms of functionality ) to the layered Descartes + microstation?

Hi,

we will introduce in Q4 a new version of Descartes CONNECT Standalone with most of the raster capabilities ported as a Early Adopter version (previously named beta).

We are changing the way we will deliver Descartes for MicroStation. In the future, the installer won't come indenpently from the platform product (ex: MicroStation or OpenRoads) but will be embedded in those installers.

At installation time, when a user will install MicroStation for example, he will have the option to install Descartes for MicroStation. This way we will simplify the version/compatibility tracking.

The best Descartes version for a given version of MicroStation will simply be embedded in its installer!!

We expect to do the first release of Descartes for MicroStation CONNECT in Q1 2017.
