Microstation Freezing When I Click on Display Shaded Surface.

Working with LiDAR, and my project has been freezing all day when I click on that application. I am using msv8i software, and I have tried re-downloading the software, shutting down the computer, starting and restarting the project... It's still freezing. No edits can really be made if I can't adjust my color cycles. Any ideas?

    Please confirm the product(s) and version(s) being used :
    ( See Help > About MicroStation. Is it just plain MicroStation or another application )

    When you say ' Click on Display shaded Surface ' what do you mean exactly ? Is this on a tool, the item in the view ...
    ( Please provide exact steps taken )

    How have you attached the LiDAR information ? Have you converted to a *.pod file using the Point Tools.
    Is the data in a master or reference file ?

    Have you experienced this problem previously ?
    Is it peculiar to this particular file ?
    Could it be computer resources related, how large is your dataset and are others able to open and work on the data with no problem ?
