What you are wanting to do is currently not supported in Descartes Connect Edition. I have filed Enhancement 571361 for the ability from a 4 Band RGBN ERIDAS IMG image to export RGB version and CIR version images.

Maurice, you can try the following Configuration Variable:

MS_RASTER_IMG_CHANNELS

Sets the band number to use for Red, Green, Blue and Alpha channels when a file whose format is IMG is attached. The "0" value can be set for the Alpha channel if none is required.

When this variable is defined, all attached Erdas IMG rasters will use the same band order. The default value is: MS_RASTER_IMG_CHANNELS 1 2 3 4.

Thanks fmcallis, I tried different formats. I want to be able edit 4 bands that has RGBN and eventually separate the images into RGB and CIR. IMG format allows 4 band edits in Descartes but the output seem to be just a red transparency. I need to adjust the band to show CIR.

You can consider converting the ERDAS IMG image to another format.
