I have a .3mx file referenced into a Microstation drawing. In Microstation, I can view the 3mx mesh and images just fine. When I try to use Luxology Rendering or export to LumenRT, the mesh becomes white with no images. What setting am I missing?
Hi Emily,
While in the 3mx try saving the file as dgn then try rendering from the dgn file that should work. When you render the 3mx file will need to get exported using a fixed resolution. Before you render you may want to set the export resolution, right click on the mesh and choose properties from there you can set the export resolution. This will be what Luxology will be using when making the lxo scene, if you have a really large scene like an entire city you don't want this to be too low. If your ContextCapture is not huge then a low value will work if you set it to zero the mesh exported would be at the same accuracy as you see in MicroStation.
Cheers,
Jerry
Jerry,
I did reduce the export resolution. Neither saving the 3MX as a dgn, referencing or attaching changed the resultant rendering. Below is what I keep getting:
Here's what LumenRT gives me:
Here's a work around:
You can go back into ContextCapture and pick a different Production Format such as OBJ which should work in MicroStation V8i.
Select the Reconstruction that was use to produce the 3MX and click on Submit new production... , then select OBJ in the Format/Options.
