What photo acquisition app do you use?
Before CC I was using Pix4d (another photogrammetry soft). They have a nice "Pix4d Capture" app. Fire up the drone and let the app collect images along the grid. It still works for me in

RE: ContextCapture photo acquisition app

video has a motion blur and high compression so not a good approach. Also CC blindly takes frames from video in fixed intervals without checking frame quality. There would be good to have option to take only keyframes(intra-frames) so not to lose quality.

There are rumors that CC will come in package for DJI so I would expect also mission planning app. Silly that if we have to use Pix4D app.

The app you decide on will in part depend on you UAS and also what kind of ground station you are using.

Mission Planner is an open source flight planning tool and works with multi rotor and also fixed wing.
ardupilot.org/.../common-install-mission-planner.html

It requires a MAVlink connection. It only runs on a PC. If your running with a tablet then it will be best to look into the many offerings that run on android and apple... many of these like mission planner are free , or available at a minimal cost.
It is an open source app that will work with most UAV controllers both fixed wing and copter configurations are supported. It will only work on a PC.

There are also other apps out there that can generate automated flight plans. many of these can be found on androids and apple app store.
