Hardware sugestions on GPU and rest hardware.

Can anyone make suggestions on hardware specially on GPU. How GPU depended is these 2 software’s?

- Bentley descartes

- Bentley Context capture

So should I move towards Quadra card or 1080 is more than enough or even 750ti gets the job done.

can anyone explain when is used parallel or when is used reconstruction process? And depended on that I believe if you use parallel you need more core if reconstruction then faster threads. I don’t now how exactly that software is working but what we do is from pictures getting points and something like that.

I can't rly understand because I am IT guy and don't know what that software is utilizing

Hi,

For Descartes and ContexCapture it is better you buy a Geforce GTX 10 series card with 8GB GDDR.
Do not buy a Geforce Titan because this card is slower for this.
Geforce is faster in 3D when rotating point clouds or big data.
Quadro is for static view applications (foto viewing, etc...).
Quadro provides a better and more accurate picture on your screen but is slower when rotating point clouds.
When rotating pointclouds, the screen layout will be more shocks rather than smooth whit a Quadro.
