Hi. My team are now using ContextCapture. It is reported over-usage when we use CC in a single computer via remote desktop. Because our colleagues are sitting in different offices but we only have one CC license. How to avoid over-usage charge?
Detail:
1. CC (Master and Engine) installed in a computer (A)
2. Run CC Engine in computer A as administrator
3. Other users using other computers to remote login computer A
4. Use CC Master to create project and submit jobs.
Thanks
To clarify, license use for ContextCapture is counted by the number of machines using the product in a 10-minute period or interval. Please refer to the following FAQ for more details, specifically the question titled "How is usage calculated?" Fortunately, in the scenario you described, Bentley's round-up rule would prevent an overlap from being counted for billing purposes if Computer A exits the product and Computer B immediately opens it even though both were technically used within the same 10-minute interval.

Are you seeing the overuse on a peak usage report generated by SELECTserver? If so, note that SELECTserver calculates peak usage with a one-hour interval historically used, but since Q2 2016, the 10-minute interval has superseded it. If using the hosted SELECTserver (i.e. selectserver.bentley.com), your peaks are recalculated using the smaller interval for billing purposes. You can see these peak usage results from the Product Usage Report instead. The following support solution provides instructions for using the Product Usage Report. Are you seeing overages for ContextCapture Master in the Product Usage Report?
