Context Capture not giving proper results

Hello all,

I have been trying to create 3D models from pictures that I have taken of termite mounds. One problem that I think I have is that the lighting was highly variable, so I don't know how much that will effect them. 

Here is what it should look like:

But ContextCapture is producing this sort of result:

I am new to the software, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I think your photo looks fine.
    How many photos did you submit to ContextCapture?
    I would suggest taking a minimum of about 20 evenly spaced photos for a point of interest like the termite mound. That would give about 18° between each photo position. Avoid zooming in or out to maintain a fixed focal length while taking the pictures. That should provide enough overlap between each photo for ContextCapture to generate good results.
