 I have been trying to create 3D models from pictures that I have taken of termite mounds. One problem that I think I have is that the lighting was highly variable, so I don&amp;#39;t know how much that will effect them.

I think your photo looks fine. &lt;br /&gt;
How many photos did you submit to ContextCapture? &lt;br /&gt;
I would suggest taking a minimum of about 20 evenly spaced photos for a point of interest like the termite mound. That would give about 18° between each photo position. Avoid zooming in or out to maintain a fixed focal length while taking the pictures. That should provide enough overlap between each photo for ContextCapture to generate good results.&lt;br /&gt;
