V8i Installation File

I empathize with your frustration. The old download center was better and easier to use. Not everyone wants the latest version of s/w. Sometimes they just want to reinstall the version they have already. It is hard or impossible to find legacy versions on the new site.

in my opinion when any product / version is not available in Fulfillment center, you have to create Service Ticket and to ask for this version.

I am a bit curious about your MicroStation version, because I am quite sure 08.11.07.500 is not officially released "normal version". The latest English MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 2) I have in my archive is 08.11.07.443. So I guess it's the version released and required by some other application?

Because it's V8i (SELECTseries 2), my assumption the correct Descartes is 08.11.07.427.

Hi Henry,

Jan Slegr is correct about the version number. If you wish to see the all available versions in the Fulfillment Center (Software Downloads) page you must first select the Clear All button which is at the bottom left when you first access. This will remove all filters making all available downloads (including previous versions) visible.

Unfortunately this is not correct, because without filters still only Descartes CONNECT Edition is available for download. The most of previous versions were removed from download pages, so in fact when you need to download anything older than CONNECT Edition (and the latest V8i in some cases), there is no simple solution and the FC pages cannot be used :-(

Hi Jan,

If you cannot see the version that you are looking for then it is no longer available as a download. For example if you look at the MicroStation page you would see that the MicroStation 08.11.09.829 is still available.

For any other version then as you stated previously a Service Request ticket is required.
