Are there any workflows how to extract building Facade as surface from Reality mesh? We need to provide it as 2D surface for old-school designers and need a method to extract surface with material/texture from curved facade.
For example can we unroll this model in 2D plane?

Can you tell me how did you arrived at this result? I've tried with a simple point cloud but the final result is a bit ugly..
What are the parameter that you used for the creation of the point cloud? Did you used the picture with the flat point cloud to make the final flat model?

You have to produce point cloud in Contextcapture then process it in Cloudcompare and then import back. The results will be ugly if you did not set the scan location correctly as it is lost in Cloudcompare or nonexistent if is not data from real scan. The scan position should be set not too close to the wall and somewhere at a middle. I will make a screenshot.edit:

Thanks for the answer.
My methode is the next one (and it's not complet, i'm a bit lost from point 4):
1) we did picture of a chemney with a UAV
2) we did a point cloud of the cheminey with contextcapture master
3) we modify it in cloucompare ( like you) to make it flat
Then, i'm a bit lost.
4) we input the model back like a pointcloud (with static scan) but in a new block (because the flat model is not the same then the orignal model)
or
4) we input the flat model in the original block (so in the block that made the point cloud)?
5) while importing the cloud like a static cloud, what are the cooordinates that we need to put? Because our point cloud isn't from a real scan (it's just made from contextcapture) and we used picture to make it
6) submit the reconstruction and the production
