Hello all,
I am getting a Windows timeout detection and recovery (TDR) error when launching ContextCapture Desktop. I have the latest CC installed (4.4.9.516), and the latest Windows 10 pro update, April 2018.
My system:
i7 processor, 64GB RAM, dual EVGA 1080 ti 11GB GPU's with the latest Vulcan driver installed. SLI is disabled while running CC.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Scott K.
Scott,
The last windows update is in conflict with the Bentley softwares.
You have to go back to the previous version of W10.

This may happen after Windows or driver update. Either reinstall Contextcapture or make a following registry change.
Warning is because the Timeout Detection and Recovery key is not set properly and could impact the performance of the GPU card.
- Could you open regedit then go to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
Check that <TdrLevel> key is set to (0) which is the value you should have by default.
TDR restarts graphics card in case of driver or hardwae issues which is ok for gaming or 3D rendering as it can recover where it left but is not compatible with ContextCapture. This is drawback of using gaming cards for production but these cards for other hand are less expensive.
