Slow down the automatic rotation in the Acute3D Viewer

Hello, I am building a promotion display for my Photogrammetry service. 4k TV will display 4k videos captured from many of my .S3C files

I am using a screen capture over Acute3D Viewer to create videos of the projects I completed.

The only trouble is the automatic rotation speed is way too fast for my taste.

I didn't find any option to slow it down in Acute3D Viewer. So I did it in post-production on the video. However, It became quite jerky.

Please, help me to figure out how to get a SMOOTH SLOW video out of my .S3C models.

  • kind of. See Shortcuts in Acute3D viewer documentation

Shift + A Start/stop animation with screen capture

This creates series of screenshots which can be later edited as video.

Also you can create fly-trough videos using these shortcuts. First place keyframes along desired path then do a animation.

    K / Shift + K Add/Remove animation key point(keyframe)

    A Start/stop animation (Ctrl + A: loop mode)

  • WOW, the keyboard shortcuts have way more functionality. Including slowing down and speeding up movement.

    Problem solved!!!

P.S. I am a bit surprised that the controls available in shortcuts are not available through menus.

I get a feeling that Bently secretly suppresses the viewer and S3C Composer. I believe that is a big mistake. The CC is not yet perfect and often tiles fail. The most convenient way to fix it is to process the failed tile separately and stitch it into the big model with S3C Composer.

CC is an amazing soft. The only other program that gets compatible results on large areas is Skyline PhotoMesh.

Their viewer "TerraExplorer (Pro)" is an amazing tool. It does everything Acute 3D Viewer does plus it can layer-in additional info like flat maps and additional 3D models. plus few simple analytical tools like elevation gradient... It also allows to quickly flatten or dig a hole in the 3d mesh (used to insert new construction options.)

Now I work with local government to provide them access to my 3D models. Acute 3D viewer is not enough for them. They need to layer-in more info including design options for new buildings. Even thou Skyline products are stupid EXPENSIVE I am forced to use it to satisfy the demand.

The Bently Editor doesn't export LOD, doesn't add Logo and overall not super user-friendly.

What I need for my business is a user-friendly viewer. It has to be fool-proof, so I can offer it to my clients.
