Hi, I'm new to Descartes and I'm trying to model from a point cloud.
I don't understand the way the Fit Plane works or it's purpose. It appears to me that it creates a single shape that joins up the extremities you select and even though you select a thickness to capture all the points within the selection it only seems to produce a shape to the points that I click on. I could just create a surface by points and get the same result. Fit Cylinder works really well and you can see why you would use it but I was expecting Fit Plane to do something similar.
Am I missing something?
Dan
Also had never be able to figure the Fit Plane tool doesn't seem to work for me correctly
Sir, In open building designer ,if we pick a point & draw a line in top view the line is drawn at the point but in elevation view if we pick a point at any direction , the point is picking from (0,0) coordinates not from the point where we pick from it. Shall I want to change any settings for this ?
Use classical snap(middle button or both buttons simultaneously) so you see to which coordinate you snap.
I have got your point sir. I have tried it. Now its working .Thank you for your needs.
