Does CC support GCPs with oblique images ??. Nadir images are supported but if I take oblique images with GCPs and use them as benchmarks (with or without nadir images) will there be any real benefits of this method ??. I have some locations with oblique images but no nadir and was wondering if I have to ask subcontractor for nadir images as well ?
Yes, CC supports obliques with GCPs. Ideally, CC works best with nadir and obliques combined. I've made runs with solely nadir or solely obliques, and the results were OK, not great. Try running a test area with only your obliques and see what results you get. What kind of overlap do you have with your obliques--are they random shots, or are they overlapping? CC suggests 60% overlap for obliques and 80% forward overlap/60% lateral overlap for nadir.
How can you add oblique GCPs to a previous reconstruction that used only NADIR GCPs? I have the oblique photos, just didn't use them in GCPs. I tried to add the oblique photos in the survey tab, but it was read only after reconstruction. It does give suggested photos that I could use, but it won't let me.
after the recostruction AT is read only. You can clone AT block, then add photo, GCP and then resubmit AT , then reconstruction ecc ecc...
