Hello! How can I adjust the planned position of the constructed model in Context Capture for example, move it 300 mm to the north?
With the current AT done from RTK .. create four or five user tie points around the model - including the known point.
Get the coordinates of those points in the same coordinate system as your known point - export - then edit the coordinates by applying the shifting to match the known point.
You can copy the block - remove the tie points - re-import the edited coordinates as control this time - pick in the imagery and re-run.
Might be an easier way ..
Then the model will be balanced by these points. I am convinced that the alignment of the model to the exact centers of the images is much more accurate than the points on the ground.
You should also leave some as check points. The results seem to be too good and often it means that model is broken in seams.
There is also an option to set origin constraint but unfortunately it only allows to set it at zero. It would be easy to shift model by using this constraint if we could provide any coordinates. Maybe QR code with origin allows that have not tried.
shifted coordinates by the key of the transition, the result is acceptable (about 5 cm), the customer checked. This technology is a good solution to the problem. Thanks again for the idea.
I was catching a flight and was in the process of shutting down when I posted .. these control points are mostly on the bridge as part of the terrestrial photos - so 2mm GSD with a Canon - just happened to be at the top of the list. So even less accurate GPS on that thing. The control was shot in by survey-grade laser scanner and is typically good to about 2mm. The airborne stuff is a little looser - but not by much - we were flying about 15m. Again the control on the bridge deck was survey-grade from either scanner or total station. We were chasing some pretty tight tolerances for steel work.
You can get results like these without any GPS on the UAV at all - that was the point I was trying to make - and in fact - if relying on RTK/PPK - the results would have been worse.
Will probably re-run this with the new version which I see is avail for download given the new point cloud alignment functionality.
There seems to be new options for shifting models in latest CC Update 10 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc-5UCbhWdA
