Hi,
I'm relatively new to CCE and Microstation. I am learning to create drawings from pointclouds with the plan to offer as-built drawings to architects. I have cut sections through my pointcloud, drawn the plan view, elevations etc in different views and exported each of these views to 2D drawings in CCE. All the line work for each section is on it's own set of levels. So far so good. Most of the architects here use Autocad so I am trying to export to .dwg. When I have each view drawn in 2D in CCE the way I like it I am going to File / export / common file types / .dwg and exporting. I am not creating sheets, just 1:1 raw files. When I open this up in Autocad all of my line work from all of my section and elevation levels are in the dwg, not just the line work that was on in my CCE 2D drawing.Clearly I'm missing a step somewhere but I can't figure out what it is. How do I export a 2D drawing to Autoacd that just contains the line work from the levels that are on in the current drawing in CCE? Thanks in advance for any help.
Scott
Also running into the same issue as Scott.
I have created all the cross section for my model but can't find a way to export the cross section as a DXF.@Natan you 'export to DXF file' is where you have lost me.
Any chance you could add screenshots of how to do this?
Thanks!
hope this will help/
Hi Natan,
Thanks for your response. Still having some issues extracting cross sections though.
I use the sections tool to create cross sections, from there I add them to elements, once selecting elements I used the above dxf export method. The problem I am having is the resulting .dxf is 3 straight lines. Do you have an idea of what I am doing wrong?
Thanks for your time.
Also having the same issue as Zack!
Any ideas on exporting cross sections, not sure why I'm having such a hard time working this out?
