Hi Carlos,
Well the POD file format is scalable so the limit is probably the storage capability you have. That being said the bigger the point cloud the slower the display could potentially becomes. Also full 3D point cloud (e.g. : plant) tends to have a lower manageable maximum size than 2.5D (aerial point cloud).
For aerial point cloud I have seen 100 millions points point cloud that was fairly easy to work with.

Unfortunately I don't think there have been much improvement in our point cloud offering in Connect compared to v8i.
