I have a RM production .3mx file which is geo-referenced in UTM WGS84 system.
This represents the super structure of a highway bridge.
I also have another RM production .3mx file generated from photos of the sub-structure of the same bridge

RE: How to merge a georeferenced production with a non-georeferenced?

To piggyback off what Mathieu said, while you cant combine productions, you could merge the blocks and create another reconstruction using CC. This will only work if there are a few areas visible in both productions.

Basically you will extract a minimum of 3 points (visible in both productions) out of the georeferenced production using user tie points and then import those tie points into the non-georeferenced block as control points. Mark the control points in the relevant photos and then run an AT using the control points as the positioning method. If the AT succeeds your non-georeferenced model should now be georeferenced in the same position as the original georeferenced production. You can then select both blocks and right click > merge blocks, create another AT and create a merged production.

RE: How to merge a georeferenced production with a non-georeferenced?

Hi SRG,

I don't think there is a product that allows merging together different productions. You can always attach and position the two 3MX in a .dgn and export them to a 3D file (e.g.: .obj file) but you might lose resolution during the conversion process.

HTH,
