Hi,
I'd like to export a point cloud file or a 3D mesh file from Contextcapture to Autoacad Map 2018. I'd like to know in which format I have to export a production mesh in order to import it to Autocad? I've tried all of them and it's impossible to import a mesh or cloud to Autocad.
What could you suggest?
Best regards
To view the model in AutoCAD you can produce a point cloud in LAS format. You should then be able to use Recap to convert to a format that AutoCAD can view
Hi Felix,
Thanks for your answer. I'm ok now with this way to import point cloud to Autocad.
Now, what about a 3D mesh (smart mesh) generated from ContextCapture?
To be more precise, here after what I've done:
- Contextcapture (Master) can generate a smart mesh (*.dgn) retouching model with the good Spatial Reference System (UTM30-N), =>ok
- Contextcapture (Editor): to open the dgn file and to save it in dwg format => ok
- Autocad Map 3D with Covadis module: open the dwg file => ok, but not in the good Spatial Reference System which should be UMT30-N + EGM96
I'm sure it's the correct way to use in order to get a good 3D mesh for Autocad. ContextCapture Editor seems no easy to use.
If you have good advice, I'll take it.
