Is it possible to process 8000 images on a single system within 24 hours and generate (Ortho, DSM & DEM), If yes, what are the configurations required of the system on which I am going to run the process? I am currently using an amazon EC2 instance (128GB RAM, 6 Core Processor, 8GB Nvidia Graphics) and it takes me 24 hours for just 1000-2000 images. I need to be able to process 8000 images a day. Please let me know if this is possible.
How many gigapixels? For virtual machines typical is 20-25 Gigapixels per day. Also there is no use of 128GB as calculating tiles which are more than 64GB in memory results in slower processing. Better is to keep the tile size below 64GB. Your only option is to add more graphics cards or use CC center edition.
Here is the technote regarding GPU performance - https://communities.bentley.com/products/3d_imaging_and_point_cloud_software/w/wiki/38408/graphic-cards-performances
How many benchmark points does the CC Settings app show? Does it allows to enable Vulkan API?
Hey, thank you for your response.
I need to deal with 155 Gigapixel of data per virtual machine (8000 images).
Benchmark Points - 89.7
It does allow to enable Vulkan API.
Do you think it is practically possible to process 155 Gigapixel in 24 hours using the Context Capture Center perpetual license?
It is possible but you have to have multiple machines with CC engine so the tiles can be processed seperately.
As an alternative you could try Bentley Contextcapture Cloud(Contextcapture console) -
A single engine on a high-end desktop will reconstruct between 20-30 Gpix per 24h and around 10-15 Gpix on the cloud. The cloud can engage up to 10 engines.
What Nvidia graphics it provides?
