I have issue loading raster file to the CAD file. When I open original file from our customer it opens correctly with correct location of reference raster tiff file. But when I rename file to a new revision number, associated raster file loses its coordinates (georefernce) and it opens somewhere far outside the border with incorrect scale. Please help!
Thank you!
Bellow example of file with correct recognized and loaded raster
Look for coordinate sister file with .TFW extension with same name as TIF. You have to rename both of them.
.TFW file creates only the firs time when we create drawing with tiff image. At that time we just delete this file, and not using it in the future. Currently we have rev. 15 for that drawing, and it works perfectly in our network, but when we send it to our contractor to modify it and get it back from them something went wrong and georeference can't be found. (But this is only when we are trying to rename these files (CAD and Tiff.).
Only GeoTIFF contains coordinates embedded but contractor may not be able to open GeoTIFF. Keep in mind that when TIF is opened Microstation may create a temp file locally for faster loading so if you delete TFW file it still could load in correct place from cache.
