Hi all,
something does not work here.
I produced an orthophoto Geotiff with CC Master, it has 93 tiles. I need to merge it into one Geotiff file.
So I used CC Editor to attach rasters, and up to this step everything is ok.
I then used "merge" tool to merge the tiles, with settings "process rasters only", resolution using "existing raster", output single file in Geotiff format.
This is where I get the following error: "Operation failed: C:\_path_to_file\Ortho_Raster.tif"
What's wrong? Is there any other method to make a single Geotiff file with original resolution and SRS?
Thanks.
Maybe Geotiff can only handle the image with a size which is below 2GB.
Try to export in JPEG
Thanks Steve, but how can I keep the geographic informations?
Yes, Geotiff contains geographic data, as fas as I know the jpeg file cannot include XYZ data in coordinates.
You can record one of the corners of the image before you merge it.
After merging the image you can right-click it and go to Properties>Details. The height and width of the image should be pixels number multiply the resolution.
Riccardo,
Click on the Output Options to setup the geographic information of the output file. You can specify creation of a Sister File/World File, which will provide position and scale information for the raster image. The sister flle will have the same name as the raster image and the extension will be .jgw in the case of a jpeg raster image

Thanks Ron,
I apologize for my delay. This means that each pixel of the jpeg file will have XYZ coordinates? If so, I wasn't aware of this. Thanks.
The sister world file typically lists the size of the pixels and the X,Y coordinates for the upper-left-hand corner of the image.
Here's a web page that gives a simple overview of worldfile info. https://freegeographytools.com/2007/worldfile-basics
Thanks, but I needed a raster file with coordinates for each pixel. I think to have to stay on the Geotiff.
