Importing FBX or OBJ files

New to this process so I have a couple questions.

  1. What it the best format for export to a 3D mesh file?
    1. We are scaning outside objects
  2. Once we have the 3D mesh file created by ContentCapture (using the console) in FBX or OBJ format, what is the best way to attach or import them?
    1. These files are downloaded in "Tiles" and each tile is in its own folder.
    2. How do you maintain color on the mesh once its imported?
  3. Is it better to import the "Tiles" or attach them as references?
    1. If attached as references how do you maintain the color of the point cloud on the mesh?
    2. If imported how do you maintain the color of the point cloud on the mesh?
    3. Is there a way to "batch" import or attach the "Tiles"?
  4. The ContextCapture console automatically creates a 3SM or 3MX output.
    1. How are these used?
    2. Can they be imported or attached to the DGN?
  5. Can any of this be sent to Navigator?
    1. My understanding is Point clouds are not currently supported in Navigator, will this change and point clouds eventually be supported in Navigator?

I am sure These are not the only questions I have but this is a start.  Thanks for the help.
