I need to download an install file of pre connect contextcapture as it produces much better models.
I also need to know which version of connect can run on a machine alongside pre connect versions without uninstalling them - update 17 cant.
I've been trying to do this for months and have submitted multiple support requests.

What exactly you mean that latest versions produce worse quality models? Have not noticed such issues would say otherwise that models are now more accurately positioned if using GCPs. Yes aerotriangulation is now little more demanding for good input but that results in better accuracy.

Thanks for the quick response. Basically, any time the images are remotely challenging (for example combining terrestrial and aerial imagery) connect versions of CC fail to even try to generate 3D data even after days of trying, while the same images and control work without fault in pre-connect versions.
I might be missing something but have seen the problem across a wide range of surveys for a while, from a few m squared areas @ mm accuracy up to ~200 acre surveys with RTK ground control points.
I’ve accepted it wont get better because you know…Bentley… but our projects at HS2 are hampered by not having the Pre-connect versions installed on our machines so I was hoping for some clarification on the install files etc.
To try and explain the point better here’s a few examples where connect CC couldn't generate 3D data but pre connect processes it fine. I’ve got 10’s of similar examples.:

These doesn't look too challenging. Haven't you recently upgraded graphics drivers? Latest are not always the best.
What are the system specs?
i'm running 2 x intel Xeon E5-2630 v4 - 20 cores total @2.2 GHz - 256 GB 2133 MHz ECC RAM and Titan XP 12GB GPU.
Would the graphics drivers affect the aerotriangulation computations? Same drivers for bother versions of software.
It is unclear what you mean by unable to generate 3d model. Does it fails aerotriangulation? Fails to generate tiles? How large are the tiles? Seems 256GB or 128GB are too much RAM for CC as have not been able to generate larger than 64GB tiles in one go.
