I need to download an install file of pre connect contextcapture as it produces much better models.
I also need to know which version of connect can run on a machine alongside pre connect versions without uninstalling them - update 17 cant.
I've been trying to do this for months and have submitted multiple support requests.

This is something that I would like to look into on the dataset front if possible, would you be willing to share some of your samples with Bentley for testing? It's a shame to hear users having such issues and if we have an issue with the software we would like to get to the bottom of it.

Hi Jed, more than happy to help. Might be worth a quick teams call so I can quickly get some examples up on the screen. For now though - I still need an exe install file for pre-connect.
I think that you should have access to all previous CONNECT versions. If you wish to have anything older (prior to CONNECT licensing), we would have to send you a download link. CONNECT versions started with Update 11, so the Update 10 version we sent would have been the last of the pre-CONNECT releases.
I'm not aware of any difference in the install procedure but if there is it would have happened when a specific version was released. There will have been no changes to any of the installers after a new version has been released. If you know the specific version number you are looking for then I can arrange to have a copy sent. Otherwise it may need to be a bit of trial and error. If you wish I can send you a link to download Update 8 which is much older?

I need an .exe install file for 04.04.14.79.
Update 10 still has connection client with it so i thought it was part of connect?
I'll need to install each version of connect until i get one which works with version 4. I can't remember which one it is and was hoping to avoid the trial and error.

Update 10 is pre-CONNECT licensing although it may include the CONNECTION Client as this also had functionality besides licensing. If you want a pre-CONNECT version that doesn't include the CONNECTION Client you would need Update 6.
I can't find an installer for the version number your refer to. The nearest is 04.04.14.75. Is this a version you can use?

I just need the old software - don't mind about connect licencing etc.
For older versions you can uninstall connection client if it bothers you.
