Can you move it from Reality Mesh attachment window? How do you open 3sm file?
I open 3sm file from Reality Mesh attachment window.I found that the ones with no coordinates defined can edit their position, but the ones with coordinates defined can't.I was told by an engineer that the R&D team had removed the editable position of the 3SM with coordinates for some reason. Is it true?
Could be but you could try to edit 3sm file. It is proprietary sqlite format - https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/53563/how-to-fix-the-3sm-terrain-that-has-been-vertically-offset-when-upgraded-to-conceptstation-u13Luckily the more issues are found the more open 3sm specification becomes. For example to fix wrong texture status this workflow can be used.
The 3sm file being a SQLite database, can be fixed using a free software such as DB Browser for SQLite.
Steps:
1) Start DB Browser for SQLite. 2) Select the “Browse Data” tab. 3) In the “Table” drop-down, select “SMMasterHeader”. 4) Find the “IsTextured” column and change its value from 0 to 1. 5) Apply the change and exit DB Browser for SQLite. 6) Republish the .3sm file to ContextShare using Bentley Descartes or ContextCapture Editor.

Do you mean that the file was attached using a coordinate system?
If so the coordinate system takes priority and will prevent from modifying the position of the attachment.
I am currently wondering the exact same thing. would be nice if I could edit the properties shown in your image to move, rotate and scale the 3sm.
