Geolocalisation is incompatible when creating 3sm

Dear Forum,

im trying to create a 3sm in Descartes for MicroStation, and consistently receiving the error ‘Geolocation is incompatible’ in the Status column of Terrain Scalable Mesh Source Editor. Would anyone know why I get this? Im using MicroStation 10.16.00.80 which has NTv2 built in for auto translation of grids.

ive tried this without grids applied and with grids applied as I wondered if the grid selection was affecting it, but it doesn’t work either way?

ive made an STM with same data in same file and this does create, so im confused.

The output im looking for is a draped 3sm so the STM isn’t able to be used in OpenRail Designer so need the stand alone 3sm.

Any help would be appreciated. I created a load of these previously without a hitch, so wondering if im doing something different [I don’t think I am] or the software has changed the way it processes this data?
