The future of Descartes?

It is already partly integrated in Contextcapture Editor and OpenSite Designer

Descartes is not up to date, it may be up to date regarding underlying Power platform version but from usability it is lacking behind. Also many bugs and issues are not resolved in timely manner. As seperate product it is not so interesting as same functionality is needed in OpenRoads, OpenSite, Contextcapture.

Is there any software that integrates Descartes functionality that you can recommend? 

Here is my needs:
I need to get sections along an alignment line (XML) where I can combine (tunnel) scanning, design (DWG,IFC) and surveyed information (DWG) together in sections, if possible even create STM or TRM inside a tunnel from scanned information for volume calculations. 

Context capture is not the information I get to process information, it is scanning information.

I need also the raster functions like drape, image transformations etc that are very good functions in Descartes?

I have read about Orbit but I don´t know so much about it, seems interesting but don´t know it does what i need to do, there is also coming needs to digitize (Vectorize) objects from scanned information  (all kinds of different objects, line, point, cylinder, blocks, shapes etc) it would be great if there was support for these things also

I know thees needs that probably is in severer bentley applications but I don´t have budget to have a lot of applications to do these things so is there any application that handles scanned data as good as descartes handles raster data and hopefully in one application.
